mac&cheese was the staple of college kids non-cafeteria foods! Used to make it in one of those red hot pots....and back then it cost about 12cents!!

It tastes just like the regular stuff...but it supposed to be better for you. We used to eat it just about every week, but it does get really boring......so when I lived in japan --and found it there in a foreign food store!- I had to get it, a comfort food from home type thing, and well.....I used to add things to it cause the taste had not improved much.

Now I use it for a base for casserole-type dinners, using a little of the cheese powder and lots of other herbs/spices etc. (a little bit of sour cream in it makes it much creamier!!) Like Neo said....with hot dogs in it its pretty good, left over turkey (with some onions) is another good combo.....

You dont know what you're missing pwnd!

Dang, where the heck did you get that at?

I think I'll still be able to live missing it.

Gee pwnd you really must have had to eat a lot of it. Someday it will be comfort food, trust us. It's much better than the creamed tuna my mother used to make for us all the time, I still get nauseated thinking of it.

Not a fan of seafood or tuna. Blagh. And ya, we had mac and cheese WAY to much...

Done with classes for the day.

tooo much....we had it every week at least once a week for ....uhm....more than 10 years, maybe closer to 20.....and yep, I STILL like it (not plain though).

hubby mis-read the recipe for dinner tonight, so we had a very very oily dinner....(2 tablespoons not 2 cups!!).....but it was ok, but very oily....

So you had a little food with your oil. I like mac & cheese with peas. I know sounds weird but tastes good. Damn it's cold here today, we have a wind chill of about -6.

Oily food... yuck. We had mac and cheese almost every other night during the week for about 10 year. So 2 to 3 times a week. That will burn you out. Peas are gross imo.

We are at 0 degrees F here. But I'm sure it feels colder outside...

yep cold, and Canada usually wins on that front.

2-3 times a week, dont think I have any dinner food that often.....though I doubt you would get sick of pizza even if you had it that often (rocky, peas???? my favorite combo besides the turkey is salsa....mix a bit of that in and it isnt mac&cheese any longer!).

we want spring....tired of snow and cold!

i don't mind the cold as long as i can still ski. unfortunately, that huge warm period a few days ago melted most of the ski surfaces, and this latest cold snap turned it all into ice.

barring another huge snowstorm, looks like ski season is over -.-

I am half expecting another good amount of snow before winter is over. Just bound to happen.

Sleep time after a midnight Wal-Mart run. Fun times.

^^Sup

Just another 10 mins and im off from work.

I actually thought winter might be over last week, because it actually reached 35F. Then the temperatures plummeted on the weekend.
